MANILA, Philippines – The National Women’s Basketball League has added a few more teams with Taguig and wellness center Zele joining the fray.
The inclusion of Taguig and Zele now brings the total number of teams to seven as the WNBL prepares for its first professional season in 2021.
The first five teams to participate in the first professional season are the Glutagence Glow Boosters, Parañaque Lady Aces, Pacific Water Queens, Stan Quezon Lady Spartans and Go For Gold-Philippine Navy.
Taguig previously played in the first WNBL season while the league still had amateur status, finishing second behind PSI Lady Air Defenders for two years.
The Lady Generals are now inviting free agents of the project to submit their music videos or highlights to [email protected]. Testing will be announced as soon as the Games and Amusements Council gives its approval.
Taguig, however, is already eyeing former UAAP MVP March Bacaro for the Lady Generals.
